Complete Wellbeing’s retail growth

Posted by: Manoj Khatri on: October 7, 2008

The sale of Complete Wellbeing’s print version has been steadily rising over the past six months, thanks to Amol Joshi, our circulation sales head, who joined us in May 2008. Ever since he took over, the availability of Complete Wellbeing has improved dramatically.

First, it was his decision to switch from India Book House [IBH] to Living Media [India Today Group] for retail distribution of the magazine. This step alone improved the our sales immediately. Some unique ideas to get vendors interested in picking copies worked in our favour.

The next initiative was to start a Poster Display Scheme [PDS as it is more commonly known in the magazine retail jargon].

Amol has some more fantastic ideas up his sleeve, which you will see revealed in the next few weeks. As we begin preparations to print the anniversary issue of Complete Wellbeing, I expect to see our retail as well as subscription base leaping manifold.

I am happy to witness this amazing growth of reach [and therefore influence] of Complete Wellbeing.

Countdown to the anniversary issue

Posted by: Manoj Khatri on: October 6, 2008

We’re working on our anniversary issue, which is due in the last week of October. We have consciously decided to keep the issue “normal”, as in not make it a bumper, 400-pager with so much content that the reader gets lost in it. What we are doing instead is re-visiting the whole concept of Complete Wellbeing. The idea, the philosophy that drives Complete Wellbeing needs to be reinforced from time to time. What is needed is a lot of unlearning.

The anniversary issue will not be a bumper issue in terms of the number of pages. But I promise that it will be bumper in freeing the conditioning of our readers from many many illusions of health and happiness. You can also expect some changes in the design.

The editorial team is excited. For us, the 2nd anniversary is not about celebrating success. It’s more about looking forward to the next level of spreading health and happiness.

Thumbs up to ban on smoking

Posted by: Manoj Khatri on: October 2, 2008

We support the ban comprehensively. We believe that passive smoking has to be taken seriously. Read how second-hand smoking is harmful to health.

The rules and regulations are falling in place, however, it will really depend on you and me to make this ban fruitful.

Smokers, even if you don’t care about your own health, stop smoking in the presence of others. These others include those you love and care for. Why do you want to expose them to the dangers of smoking?

Café Complete Wellbeing – Grand Opening

Posted by: Manoj Khatri on: October 1, 2008

Complete Wellbeing is a path-breaking philosophy, a movement if you will. Spreading this philosophy should not be restricted to only some forms of media. To be effective in its goal, the Complete Wellbeing philosophy has to get weaved into the very psyche of the people.

This blog is just one of the many drivers of the philosophy. Think of this blog as the virtual Café of Complete Wellbeing where people behind the scenes meet and interact: editors, authors, designers, readers, marketing and sales associates and all others who contribute to Complete Wellbeing in some way or the other.

The café will see discussions on key issues, dissemination of new information about upcoming themes, announcement of any major changes, or general reflection about anything that attracts our attention.

We welcome you to Café Complete Wellbeing.

Enjoy your stay. And stay well!
